Our volunteers are amazing! They come from all walks of life, from retired therapists providing mental health support to students on social care placements, past Refugee Council clients and local people. They contribute in many ways, from arranging trips or hospital appointments to giving language sessions and befriending.

They come from all walks of life, from retired therapists providing mental health support to students on social care placements, past Refugee Council clients and local people. They contribute in many ways, from arranging trips or hospital appointments to giving language sessions and befriending.

We are always looking for volunteers across Africa. We ask all volunteers to commit to at least one day/one session per week and for a minimum of three months. Some roles require specialist skills but most only require enthusiasm and an interest in refugee and asylum seeker issues.
